Preauthorization for card payments: what is it?

Sometimes, when you make a card payment, a temporary charge may appear on your bank account. This is a preauthorization, i.e., a reservation of the amount of your order that has not yet been definitively charged. It will be charged when the order has been confirmed.

This procedure is standard and serves to verify that the card is valid and that there are sufficient funds. The final charge will only be made once your order has been confirmed and shipped.

Any issues related to this procedure are completely unrelated to Gioseppo, as it follows the existing operating procedures in Spain between banks and card issuers.
